Mission: Meet AABzzz and send the message in his face “Free RPK” !! “NO to ISA” !!
delCapo was running late…. late nite of socialising with some interesting new friends at Palate Palette meant a hard start to the morning… plus I wanted to make sure I had some breakfast…. God knows how long the day adventure was gonna be… & i sure as hell wasn’t gonna depend on UMNO to feed delCapo =]
by the time I arrived at PWTC…. I had missed my blogger bors…. Haris, Zorro, Gus & 20 others with “free RPK” t-shirts had marched in…. I joined the big group of 200+ Hindraf anehs & achis…. hey, we did well together at the Dataran Merderka demo march just a few days ago.
Anyway….. here the stage by stage bits & pix (sori no vids this round)
STAGE 1 – Trying to Get In
2 small incidents –
(1) [which delCapo missed] Haris, Zorro & RPK’s Lawyer Marjeet & the 20 strong bloggers/ activitist were stopped by the cops at the door, apprently disagreeing with their choice of apparels…. fashion police, uh?… Anyway the cops had no chance up against these grandmasters, who told them to arrest them…. or let them in… no prize for guessing who won =]
Rakyat 1: 0 Them
(2) When the Hindraf crowd were coming in – led by Bala “Bangsar Mayor”…. the wives & kids holding AABzzz Raya Greeting Card were stopped…. the little mini tussle, totally stupid & unecessary, only resulted in some scared kids & a partially damaged card… bloody hell… they r threatened by kids with basket, flowers & a CARD???
Rakyat 2: 0 Them
The rest of the time was just about waiting & Q-ing….. i met some interesting old timers in the crowd, one of them nicknamed Chow Yuen Fatt by his friends =]
STAGE 2 – IN! But the wrong Hall!!
Stage 2
We finally got into the hall….. Malaysiakini’s Andrew informed that this might not be the hall AABzz and the rest of the UMNO elites were… we suspected that we have been “diverted”. Fuck it… we are here… lets do it anyway.
True to form… it was just 4 rows of food, followed by another ballroom of “diners”, mostly there for free food…. Even murmurs of “are we gonna get duit raya?”….. we were NOT interested in the food…. Even if we were, the food was nothing special (for a Raya open house)…. Just biscuits, simple cakes, char kuey teow, nasi goring type… Devi’s corner was definitely NOT the caterer.
No signs of AABzzz…. we walked through the rooms orderly… some stopped to chat with the curious audience about what we were doing there…. Before we know it, we were at the exit… damn!

So what’s next??
Stage 3 – We try AGAIN!
In the spirit of recent events…. We never fucken give up…. We just dunno how to =]
They hoped we just slap our backsides & go home?? Hell NO!
After regrouping and “oxidizing” puff puffs…. Both the Bloggers/Activists and Hindraf groups decided to try again!
Stage 4 – WE GOT THEM! Fourth Floor!
After shortcutting Qs and some “blind leading the blind”…. We found it! The “fourth floor”…. The VIPs & VVIPs area…. & they were ready for us.
Zorro’s good friends the “chinamen” officers, their teams & all of UMNO’s finest new bloods were there to “usher” us…. More waiting & Q-ing….
We were close.
Maybe they had to wake AABzzz up (after the earlier guests had gone home), maybe they had an internal discussion to decide whether to entertain us…patiently we waited.
At 2.10pm, finally…. UMNO’s head honchos were in line to receive us!!!
We took turn to shake AABzzz & Jeanne’s hands & said our bits about the Cause (before the bodyguards “hinted” us to get going)….. most chose to ignore Najib & the fat woman ahahaha…. Kerismuddin, Muhyiddin, Musa were there too (mari mari, makan makan)…. The Botak was mysteriously missing…. Shame… delCapo had planned to give him a mother of all bear hugs =]
The Hindraf wives & kids & only 20+ others (out of the 500) allowed into this stage also got their chance….. it was as good as it gets!
Rakyat 3: 1 Them…. yeah baby!
Throughout the various stages…. The Hindraf groups, the bloggers/activists were at best behaviours – disciplined, orderly & we stuck to our fucken guns…. We gave them NO excuse to kick us out nor stop our path.
We stuck to our principles too, we were there to deliver a message…. Not eat. So we all declined to join the diners…. We did what we had to, & got the fuck out.
That’s what I call !!!PEOPLE POWER!!!…. RRRRRRESPECT!!!!!!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! We had a ball!!
