#Bersih2 is not alone... #SpanishRevolution is happening too…. and a damn happening one, by the look of things.
With Taglines like “no somos mercancía en manos de políticos y banqueros” (“We are people, not commodities in the hands of politicians and bankers” by Democracia Real Ya (DRY), one of the sparks that ignited the revolution…. what about the group #nolesvotes (don’t vote for them), who provided free internet access at their seatings.
With characteristics like being a coalition of different movements…. led by the youths…. being heterogeneous, covering all age ranges, professions and social classes…. utilising blogs, social media, internet and mobile networks… calling for unity against corruption, corrupted politicians… the main M15 rallybeing supported by other cities in Spain and the world…. there are definitely some parallels there.
Wow…. #SpainishRevolution even had their own TV Station… #Bersih2, #BersihStories or #Generation709 can excahnge some notes with them =]
VIVA REVOLUTION!!
PSM’s EO6 continues to be detained without trial and with shifting reasons given by Bukit Aman.
Candlelight vigils have been happening every night at entrance of Bukit Aman between 8-9pm everynight.
Tomorrow (16 July 2011), there will be a big one at Dataran Maybank in KL.
Bring your own candles, poems, songs and flowers. Call Nalini at 019 3758912 for further info.
BE THERE!
In Part (1), delCapo’s pix and vid showed “what could have been”.
Well… here’s why it didn’t.
Tung Shin Hospital under attack.
Here are some vid… some by others, some by delCapo. Take note of the difference between the crowd left on their own and when the police are in action.
But you know what?
The BN govenment, Najib (APCO and whoever advising the PMO), Hishammudin, Rais Yatim, IGP, the muthafucka Deputy IGP…. You guys have just made the biggest fuck-up in the way you handled Bersih 2.0… from day 1 til 09jul11.
You will taste the rakyat’s cannons and gas like never before… just like how you put us and your poor officers in this through.
Don’t believe me? Call GE13 NOW!
history was made today.. and we have just gotten started.
Here’s Mike and Nanda again…
Remember folks, salt and mineral water… and a good morning towel… just in case.
YOUTH POWER !!! PEOPLE POWER !!!
Would like to hereby point the attention of the Home Ministry and PDRM’s rank and file to 2 (of many) events in KL that involve
1) Standard Chartered Bank’s Annual KL Marathon

2) Le Tour De Langkawi

So… Home Minister and IGP… what’s the problem with this?

Peaceful crowd gathering and walking from 3 predetermined locations, on pre-determined routes to one destination (The Palace).
With good coordination with the Bersih ushers and the usual good traffic control and crowd safety measure by the PDRM officers, this will be smooth and painless… over within 2 hours.
Again… what’s the problem?
Why must arrest people, raid offices, hassle public figures with interrogation 2 weeks before the event??
Why not spend time coordinating the damn thing??
There’s a countdown frame at Bersih 2.0′s website. Countdown to 9 July 2011, the rakyat’s next Walk for Justice – true democracy, human rights, clean and fair elections, auto voters registration etc..
That’s what we will be PEACEFULLY walking for.
Now we have been hearing that Khairy’s UMNO Youth and Ibrahim Ali’s (well, Dr M’s) Perkasa also going to march on the same day.
Farida ( “Madam” for me and should be for all of you) wrote a great piece on Malaysiakini and said “send in the clowns”. hehehehe… nice.
delCapo would like to say to KJ and Ibrahim’s boys - WELCOME!!! For whatever reasons, right or wrong… you are welcomed to join the peaceful march!! The more the merrier.
Just a reminder (in case what Zorro posted is true about IQ and speed), we will be walking for justice, true democracy, human rights, clean and fair elections, auto voters registration etc…
Wadabout your lots, KJ and Ibrahim?
If you are on the same page…. very cool!!
If you are not, and is marching AGAINST Bersih 2.0′s stands… not cool… but GREAT!! Let it be known once and for all 2 facts you guys always say opposition, NGOs and civil societies speculate and gossip about:
Only if you are not on the same page as our objectives of the peaceful march, of course… if you are… as siad before… cool.
So either way… once again… WELCOME!!!!! Just don’t come and try create Mayhem or May 13 2.0 or whatever.
See you on 9 July 2011, ya… Marching is towards the CURRENT palace, ya.. not the multi-billion ringgit one you lots have been pretend building at Jalan Duta but actually using it to celup $$ .
Oh ya.. by the way… all those hundreds that have made police reports, including UMNO Youth (errr KJ, how ah?), Puteri UMNO (hey KJ, aren’t they your skirts?), PERTEKMA (taxi Nazri’s goldminers) …. please give a call to Dep IGP Khalid and ask to update your reports to include UMNO Youth and Perkasa, ok?
Must be comprehensive mah… so later no need to take 10 years to investigate who, where, what and all….
!! HIDUP RAKYAT !!!
!!! MAKKAL SAKTHI !!!
!!! PEOPLE POWER !!!

[updated 150411]
On one hand, Najib talks about “transform”, 1Malaysia, freedom, equality… even organising makan with his online friends from tweeter and facebook.
All very well packaged and nice to see/hear/read. Well done, Apco!
BUT on the other hand.. when things are not going well… like the Sarawak Show that Najib is failing badly to stage - screw the progressiveness mask. It’s now same old story – bring out the iron fist.
In the past week… the following media / blogs have been down. Most of them attacked by DDOS.
Bloggers, Activists denied entry into Sarawak. so far:
What else?
So… in the name of Power and Fear of losing… the rules of a democracy, free and fair elections, human rights, freedom of information – all out of the window.
How Najib? is this what 1Malaysia is about?
I think despite of the above… People Power will win 16 April. History will be made.
Here’s the story so far..
Selvachandran (Selvach) was in the lock-up the same time when Gunasegaran was in for suspected drug offences.
He was 1 of 4 to witness Gunasegaran being beaten up… and subsequently found dead. (Follow this lnk to the story)
He volunteered to testify as a witness in the inquest for Gunasegeran’s death in custody / police brutality case.
Post inquest, he was dragged out of his home, beaten up in front of his family and taken away. No news of him since.
The rakyat and human rights activists, led by Suaram and Latheefa Koya organised the 301010 gathering to hand over a memo to our new IGP at Bukit Aman and demand for news of Selvach.
Yesterday, Selvach’s wife got a visit from 4 police officers to supposedly take her statement. She refused them entry to her home (do you blame her?)
This morning, backed by around 100 people from Suaram, Pakatan Rakyat leaders, MIC youth (good to see them, for whatever reasons motivated them to be there), activists and the rakyat from all walks of life, she managed to get some answers.
Selvach is apprently held under Emergency Ordinance for drug-related reasons. His investigating officer’s name and number was given to the lawyers present (no answer when they tried to call him).
It is interesting to note the following (besides the EO being, like the ISA, against International standards for human rights):
- Selvach has NEVER been tested positive for drugs
- Selvach has never been convicted for drugs related offences
- The police only notify ANYBODY in the public of the reason for his detention this morning at 11.30am (after much pressure)
- The police only visited his home for “statement” yesterday evening (hmmmm…. anybody else smell some shit?)
Here are some pictures from the morning…
During our solidarity protest, contractors were putting up this banner… how bloody ironic!!!
Take a closer look… hahahahha
Nice, Fahmi. Oi! kakak polis mintak nombor, sorry permit, lah =]
