BN/ UMNO / Najib (actually it seems like only Najib sometimes) have their 1Malaysia, Pakatan Rakyat/ DSAI have their “Ketuanan Rakyat”.

We, the rakyat, should not have a problem if either or both of the above walk their talk, no?

Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia (SABM) comes from the rakyat… to demand both sides of the political divide to “think rakyat first”, among other things. PEOPLE POWER!

It’s a SPIRIT we promote to our fellow citizens to take up…. and therefore we embrace and work with individuals and groups who will join hands with us to spread this spirit, including NGOs, corporations, political parties. One example is this.

SABM is political, but non-partisan. SABM certainly does not kiss ass.

So when a fellow blogger, who demands “cool, clear and clean language” on his blog, wrote “What a fucking joke. ‘Anak Bangsa Malaysia’, ‘Satu Bangsa Satu Negara’, delCapo nearly choked on a curry puff. (I was agreeing to his PKR/DSAI/Azmin fucking up in Sabah story until he started attacking ABM… in the same article!).

No wonder you call yourself a “seaghost”… like a spirit lost out in the ocean… kesian.

Get your fucken facts right, asshole….

Americans call themselves African American, Chinese American, Latino American etc… format : [ethnicity/race] [nationality].

ABM promotes anti-racism… therefore telling everyone there’s ONE human race…

In the spirit of nation identity.. “One People, One Nation”, “Satu Bangsa, Satu Malaysia”… Bangsa = Nationality , bodoh!! Don’t try to backmask spin the race wheel lah… you look like a fucken fool and may fall on your ass-kissing face.

How much does 1Malaysia cost the rakyat?

Is ANYONE asking this? or just me?….

I’ve heard MPs asking WHAT IS 1Malaysia in parliament…. how about asking HOW MUCH of the rakyat’s money is spent?

We have all been bombarded with posters, buntings, banners, TV ads, corporate endorsements, radio coverage etc everyday – How much has been spent? How much is yet to be spent?

Here’s a start…. how about 1Malaysia F1 team!! Hoo hoo!! Formula One, in the spirit of national unity for glamour!!…. errr… hangon! How’s this helping the people again? Other than the MINIMUM USD40,000,000 (yes, it cost that at least that much to run an F1 team per year) not very well spent (remember Alex Yoong in F1? What about our excellent A1GP team???)

1Malaysia – foreign and local PR firms, marketing $$$, formula 1… what else is this vehicle spending NOT on or for the rakyat?

Singapore today treads a different path but Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak continue to share a common destiny.

Sri Maha Mariamma Temple relocation – meeting the people

If you haven’t been following…. this otherwise should be a state and local government project made international news…. read Malaysiakini and the Malaysian Insider to refresh the “Cow Head” incidents which sparked the controversy.

delCapo was at the temple’s original and current location in Shah Alam section 19 last nite, and at the dialogue hosted by Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim for the residents of section 23 (proposed new location) this morning.

 

At Sri Maha Mariamman Temple,  Section 19, Shah Alam

A group of 24 good wishing anak banga Malaysia, including Haris Ibrahim, Wong Chin Huat, Sisters of Islam members and Food Not Bombs youths made a trip to the temple to show solidarity and speak to some of the regulars about the whole situation related to the replocation.

What we found were a bunch of very pleasant and peaceful devotees who frequent the 150-year old temple who welcomed us to join in their prayers session and spoke to us openly.

There was no resentment nor sentiments of anger towards even the “cow head” incident. Not even towards a Pewaris signboard that has been erected near the temple.

To them, they have agreed to relocate the historical temple to a suitable location, thanks largely to the effort of the current State Government, local council, parliamentarian and adun.

The Dialogue at MBSA hall.

With MB Khalid Ibrahim, YB Khalid Samad, Batu Tiga state assemblyperson Rodziah Ismail, state development agency PKNS chief Othman Omar and mayor Mazalan Md Noor.

The observations delCapo made were:

•  That Section 23 muslim residents are mostly reasonable and peace loving. Some stood up to express their friendship with their hindu neighbours and they had no problems with a hindu temple located in the area. However, they are concerned if any chaos, for whatever reasons, come with the temple. Fair enough, really… it’s up to the local council to consider their concerns.
• There were a bunch of them at the dialogue who, may or may not be actual residents as security was not air tight, were there with one purpose in mind – to disrupt proceedings and create commotions. Period. These geezers should have been thrown out.
• Personal attacks on MB Khalid, YB Khalid Samad,  Adun Roziah & the dato bandar were really shameful behaviors… many in the hall from their own kampung were seen to be utterly disgusted and ashamed by their neighbours.
• Credit must be given to the restraint and persistence of the panel to go through the issues and decision process so that the residents understand.
• Also to the few calm voices from the crowd who waited for the chaos to die down and took the mic to speak their mind, from both sides of the divide.

 

Overall, I think the dialogue achieved it’s objectives…. but security and discipline could have been better so other residents (soome with kids) didn’t have to witness what was at time utterly disgusting side of my fellow Malaysians.
